Service Details
A Celebration of Life service for Ronald and Sandra will be held at Faithbridge Church, 10402 Northwestern Avenue, Franksville, WI on Sunday, October 27, 2024 at 3:00PM. Visitation will be at church on Sunday from 1:30PM until the service.
Ronald David Tait, 85, born in Dearborn, Michigan to James Tait of Hamilton, Scotland and Violet Mullen of Belfast, Ireland, passed into eternal life on October 1, 2024 at Lakeshore at Siena in Racine. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 63 years, Sandra Tait; their sons Andy (Maria), Barry (Heather) and Chris (Karri); and their grandchildren Noah, Isaiah, Aidan, Norah, Elliott, Nathaniel, and Nicholas.
Ronald grew up in Dearborn and graduated from The University of Michigan where he received a degree in Metallurgical Engineering. He also received an advanced degree from the Chrysler Institute. Upon graduation from U of M, he worked for Chrysler Automotive in their heat transfer department where he is credited with several pioneering patents. His professional life saw him working for other divisions of Chrysler in Dayton, Ohio and Modine Manufacturing in Racine, Wisconsin. He retired from Modine after 25 years.
During his lifetime, Ron’s interests and hobbies included: rooting for his Michigan Wolverines, scuba diving, home improvement, dirt bike riding, building Soap Box Derby cars, watching his sons and grandkids compete in a variety of high school sports and activities, gardening, scrapbooking, reading books on history, exercising, and video production. In retirement, he helped his sons with their home improvement projects, and regularly volunteered to drive less able people to their doctor’s appointments. Ron was a devout Christian and attended Faithbridge Church in Franksville.
