Services celebrating Laura’s life will be held in Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at 12:00 noon with Fr. Craig Richter officiating. Entombment will take place in Calvary Cemetery Garden Crypts. A memorial luncheon will follow. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:00 am – 12:00 noon.

Miller's FlowersRacine – Laura (Hechimovich) Justman, age 87, passed away peacefully at Elizabeth Gardens, under comfort care of St. Croix Hospice, Thursday, October 10, 2024.
One of 14 children, Laura was born in Kohlsville, Town of Wayne, WI on July 31, 1937 to the late Herbert and Lucille (nee: Kedinger) Justman. She was raised and grew up in Kewaskum where she attended grade school and high school. Laura enjoyed going dancing with her parents and visiting relatives. Sadly, Laura’s parents died only 17 days apart in 1966.
Laura was a proud and active member of St. Lucy Catholic Church. She liked to roller skate and play baseball with her brothers. Laura worked for the telephone company in Kewaskum before moving to Racine in 1959. Laura worked at the Driftwood Restaurant in Sturtevent and retired from Multi Products in 1999. Laura was married to Frank Hechimovich, Sr. until they divorced in 1977.
Years later, Laura still enjoyed going dancing in Kewaskum nearly every weekend with her special friend & dancing partner, Leo Bauer. They also enjoyed attending German Fest in Milwaukee & West Bend. In Racine, she continued to dance with her friend and dancing partner, Rich LeMay. Laura played baseball with the senior league for a few years. Quite often Laura could be found playing Bingo and was constantly bowling with friends and family. Above all, Laura was happiest while spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren….and truly enjoyed everything in life.
Surviving are her children, LuAnn (Tim) Tully, Sharon (Ed Verbeten) Berardi, Frank (Genie) Hechimovich, Jr., Glen (Sharon) Hechimovich, Todd (Collette Davidson) Hechimovich and Harlan Krueger; grandchildren, Amy Clark, Kyle Schlichting, Nicholas Hechimovich, Noah Hechimovich, Sadie Shannon and Brandon Hechimovich; great-grandchildren, Taylor & Carter Clark, Harper & Emma Schlichting, Jesse & Jaxson Hechimovich, Frankie & Hudson Hechimovich; brothers, Herbert (Darlene) Justman and Hiram (Aileen) Justman; sisters-in-law, Arlene Justman, Loretta Justman, Rita Justman and Barbara Justman; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends – including her devoted friend, Genevieve “Jan” Wigman, who was always there for Laura.
In addition to her parents, Laura was preceded in death by her brothers & sister, Harvey, Herbert, Hilary, Harold, Herman, Henry, Hilbert, Howard (Judy), Harry and Homer Justman and Lilly (Harold) Westerman.
