Service Details
In keeping with Marie’s wishes a private service was held for her family.
Marie C. Kelepouris, 90, of Caledonia, passed away, peacefully, at her residence on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, with her three children at her side. Marie was born in Milwaukee on August 9, 1934, the daughter of the late Salvatore and Rose (nee: La Rosa) Maniscalco.
Marie dedicated her life to her family, never hesitating to offer a helping hand or a kind word to those in need. Her love for cooking and sharing meals with family was an expression of her nurturing spirit, and her recipes will continue to be cherished by all who had the pleasure of gathering at her table. Her gentle laughter will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
Marie spent over 30 years as a waitress at Pitch’s Lounge and Restaurant in Milwaukee, where her regular patrons and staff adored her. She retired in 2000, ready to embrace a new chapter filled with travel and cherished time with loved ones. She delighted in watching her granddaughter, Stefanie, play softball and looked forward to her visits to Scottsdale, Arizona, each spring. At the top of her bucket list was a trip to see the plantations in Georgia, inspired by her favorite movie, Gone With The Wind.
Surviving are her three children, Kim (husband, Bob Ewing) Kelepouris, of Scottsdale, AZ, Gus Kelepouris, of Caledonia, and Rob Kelepouris, of Solano Beach, CA; granddaughter, Stefanie Ewing and her wife Nina; five sisters, Ann Romano, Vivian Gawin, Marge (Al) Prange, Rosemary Maniscalco, Linda (John) Korinek; and three brothers, Vince “Chuck” (Janice) Maniscalco, Joseph (Rita) Maniscalco, and Louie (Paula) Maniscalco. Her nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends also survive her. In addition to her parents, Marie was preceded in death three brothers, Anthony Maniscalco Frank Maniscalco and John Maniscalco.

Hvg natural wavy curly hair as a child I always envied Aunt Marie’s “bun”. Knowing I was too young for that style I resorted to ironing my hair with a clothes iron, today I still do but with a modern flat iron.
I can’t thank the Kelepouris’ family enough for buying the Farm and bringing joy, purpose & fulfillment back into my fathers life when he was given the opportunity to expand his green thumb from backyard gardening to planting The Family garden. I can’t tell you how nights after school and dinner we hopped in the car to come and pull weeds, water or just check on the plants.
Lastly Aunt Marie my final visit with you a month ago at the house I will hold dearly in my heart as you were the Aunt Marie I grew up with. Every time I read a new Danelle Steel book I will have you on my mind.
I know you and my parents will be watching over us. Love always Jeanie

I have many fond memories of Marie when she would visit her daughter Kim, who is my sister-in-law in Scottsdale. Before we moved there, we would come every March for spring training. We enjoyed swimming in the pool with Stef when she was young and later with our daughter. We had our annual visit to the Pink Pony Restaurant in Old Town and Uncle Sal’s. The Sugar Shack Bar was high on the list as well! Kim and Bob would host get togethers at their home and Marie was frequently busy and was at home in the kitchen! I will always remember Marie’s sweet smile, her laughter and how her eyes would sparkle. It’s always hardest on those of us left behind, but I know Marie had a host of family members waiting for her on the other side. Until we meet again, dear, I’ll hold loving memories in my heart. ❤️

Hi Kim,
It’s your cousin, Cheryl
My mom and dad told me about Aunt Marie. I’m so very sorry. I have so many wonderful memories of your mom. One of them is when we were all kids all the aunts and uncles would pick names for Christmas. Your mom got me. She got me the best hip hugger skirt ever. It was my absolute favorite!!! For whatever reason that has always been something I’ve remembered. Also I remember just how kind she was especially when the big family would gather at the farm for swimming and softball.
Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you. She was one special lady😇❤️
Please give my sympathies to Robbie and Gus
Take Good Care 💕
