It’s with heavy hearts that we share the news of David Carl Stuebe’s passing. David, 60, left us on March 7, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and a life lived to the fullest. Born on December 10, 1964, in Racine, Wisconsin, David had a spark that could light up any room. He attacked life with a contagious energy that lifted everyone around him.
By day, David was a roofer, the best some would say. He brought not just skill to the job, but an eye for perfection that made every job his best work yet. Outside of work, he poured his heart into the things he loved. Music was a big one, whether he was at a concert or a festival, you could find him soaking in every note. Camping was another passion; he’d whisk his family away for weeks at a time, pitching tents all over Wisconsin and beyond, making memories under the stars.
David was an adventurer at heart, especially when it came to his kids. He loved hitting the road with them, turning every trip into a story filled with giggles and wonder. And Halloween? That was his time to shine. Year after year, he’d whip up costumes so clever and fun that he’d walk away with contest wins.
He leaves behind his kids, Maden Stuebe and Jowell (Daniel) Giovanelli; his grandkids, Edward and Madeline Giovanelli, who brought him so much joy; and his siblings, Dianna (Richard) Wolfe, Daniel Stuebe, Cynthia (William) Krewal, and Kathleen (John) Hoffman. Not to mention a whole bunch of relatives and friends who loved him dearly-too many to list, but you know who you are.
David was welcomed into the next life by his parents, Edward and Adeline (Nelson) Stuebe, and best friend Phillip D. Hart who went before him.

RIP Dave. It’s been a few years since I’ve seen you. You came to Crivitz for a weekend to visit Todd Pete. We had a awesome weekend regardless. We’ve had numerous conversations by text over the last few years, and I’ll really miss them. Once I moved away from Racine, you were the one who kept me in the loop. You will be missed……… By many. Fly High Dave
