Mount Pleasant – Just shy of her 4th birthday, our darling passed away at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin on Friday, March 26, 2010. Abby was born April 28, 2006 to Christopher and Miranda (nee: Christmas) Uren. Although her time with us was so short, she made an impression on all of us. Her infectious belly laugh and gleeful smile brought joy to everyone. Abby loved to snuggle, watching her Brainy Baby ABC’s video, and listen to mom and dad sing the ABC’s. Abby’s presence on earth will be missed in the lives of her parents, Christopher and Miranda Uren of Mt. Pleasant; grandparents, Brenda Christmas of Columbia, S. Carolina; Bob and Sandy Uren of Kenosha; aunt and uncle, Kara and Dan Bernfeld of Stedman, N. Carolina; and godparents, Tom Pataska of Racine, and Lynn Glogovsky of Kenosha. Abby now enjoys playing with her grandfather, Randy Christmas; and great grandparents, Edward and Elizabeth Humphries, and Stanley and Margaret Shamion. Abby’s funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 31st, 2010 at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 6400 Spring Street, with Rev. William Dietzler officiating. Interment will follow West Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 5-7 p.m., and Wednesday in the church beginning at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorials to the family, or in her name to BCCNS Life Support Network, PO Box 321, Burton, OH 44201 A special thanks to all of Abby’s wonderful nurses who became part of our family. Mary, Kacey, and Sharon thank you so much for everything you’ve done for us. Also we would like to thank Dr. Sarah Hansen; the special needs group; and last but not least, we thank everyone for all the love, support, and prayers over the last four years. We love you!

One of my little friends went to heaven. 3 year old Abby had a contagious smile, a strong will (putting it mildly) and she inhereted her mom’s sense of humor ( which she used very effectively for light hearted laughs during the “strong-willed” moments!) She could always make me smile. We will miss her, and smile when we think of her.

Sorrow is such a private thing, and no one could truly know what you are going through, but know there are many who care and are here for you now in any way you need. I’ll miss Abby telling us she’s “all done” before we even get therapy started…Take care and God bless.

I know I didn’t get to spend alot of time with Abby. But what time I did it felt like a lifetime. She was so special. She became my sunshine song. My Love and prayers are with you and Chris, but you are a strong person and Abby just made you stronger. She was special that way. I know the nights & days are long but remember your angel is in Heaven now. She touch the people God wanted her to touch here and probably made them feel things they never felt. But thats what God Does. He gives a special child to the loving strongest parents and that was Miranda & Chris. Abby made your lives special, stay strong and trust in God he wil ease your pain. We Love you, Donna & Ken

Your little angel, Abby, had the time to touch those in her life who were fortunate enough to know and love her. I know you will find peace in remembering the smile that lit up so many lives. You were blessed with your angel just as she was blessed with her parents.
