
Las Vegas, Nevada – Alan R. Maynard, 64, formerly of Racine, passed away on March 21, 2016 following a lengthy illness. He was born in Racine on May 28, 1951, son of the late Harold and Pearl (nee: Sebastian) Maynard.
Following his graduation from Horlick High School in 1970, Al served as a Machinist Mate in the US Coast Guard. Al spent most of his life in Racine, but in 1999 moved to Brookville, Ohio, and then Tacoma, Washington. He had been a Las Vegas resident since 2009.
Alan is survived by his brothers: David (Linda) Maynard of Weaverville, N. Carolina, Robert (Terri) Maynard, and Charles Maynard both of Racine; niece and nephews: Angela Maynard, Elliott Maynard, Ian Maynard, and Reese Maynard all of Racine; as well as other relatives and friends.
Complete services will be held in the chapel at Holy Cross Cemetery, 5600 Holy Cross Road, Caledonia, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 28, 2016. Interment and military honors will follow. All are invited to gather in the chapel beginning at 10:30 a.m. Memorials to the Veterans outreach of Wisconsin (http://vetsoutreachwi.us/) have been suggested.

Alan and I were good friends. We dated for a couple of years. He was always a gentleman!! I loved his humor and jokes. I will miss Alan dearly.
