A celebration of AJ’s life will begin 3 P.M at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory, 4600 County Line Road, and continue until the time of service at 6 P.M. Father Ron Gramza will officiate.

Dear man…caring…curious and always learning…easygoing…playful…hard working…patient…calm and capable…honorable Navy Veteran…uncomplaining…quiet and observant…human GPS…lovingly mischievous…such a person was Alfred J. La Point, born September 16, 1945 in St. Joseph, Missouri to Alfred and Lucille (Miller) La Point.
AJ leaves his wife, Cathy Orth La Point, to cherish the time and memories they created together along with his daughters, Toni (Tony) Radunz, Dana LaPoint; Cathy’s children, Kevin (Heather) Orth, Kelly (Michael) Tanem; grandchildren, David, Amy, Taylor, Desmond, Maxine, Tom, Alec, Kate, Ella, Jon, Jackson, Anderson, Ellieson, Everson; several great-grandchildren; sisters, Barbara (Frank) Colwell, Katherine (Jim) Christensen, Joanne Mordja, Bettie (Stacy) Fiscus, Teena Abraham, Lucy (Greg) Hanna; brother, Henry LaPoint; brother-in-law, Don (Chris) Mano; other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
In addition to his parents, AJ is preceded in death by his sister, Lillie Mae Wadewitz; brother-in-law, Rusty Mordja.

Cathy and her family wish to thank Dr. John Agaiby, Dr. Sana Jeffreys and their dedicated staff along with all the Kenosha Aurora Medical Center professionals.
