Alice was employed for nearly 20 years as a credit dept. associate at JC Penney’s, retiring in 1981. Alice was a proud and faithful member of Christ Church United Methodist where she was active with the UMW-United Methodist Women. Years ago, she taught Sunday School and sang in the choir when the church was located on Grange Avenue. Alice was a tireless election official volunteer at various poll sites in Racine for over 35 years. Above all, Alice’s world revolved around her family. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Michele “Mickey” and Edgar Nowak; grandchildren, Donald Nowak, all of Racine; Denise (Geoffery) Morine of Granville, IL; and Dianne (Charles “Chip”) Nuss of Oak Creek; great-grandchildren, Jacob and Jessica Nuss; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, including her church family.
