At Andy’s request, cremation will take place and there will not be a memorial service.

STURTEVANT – Andrew L. Brown, 83, passed away peacefully at home with his wife by his side on December 24, 2024.
He was born in Villa Ridge, IL on June 26, 1941, the son of Andrew L. and Dorothy R. (nee Hughes) Brown, Sr.
Andy proudly served his country in the United States Navy. After the Navy he worked for 38 years as a product maker for SC Johnson at Waxdale, retiring in 2002.
On December 28, 1985, he married his best friend, Linda Lee Fergus.
In addition to Linda, Andy is survived by his children and stepchildren, David (Laurie) Brown, Robert (Megan) Brown, Skipp (Amy) Worden, Leslie (Bobby) Trentadue, Stephen Kupper; many dear grandchildren and great grandchildren; his brothers, Clayton (Rita) Brown, Michael (Shelley) Brown; his sister, Gloria (Brad) Arries; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Amber will truly miss her “Big Kahuna.” She was the twinkle in his eye!
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Terry (Sandy) Brown.
At Andy’s request, cremation will take place and there will not be a memorial service.
A special thank you to Leslie for her unconditional love and all the hours she spent helping to care for him. She is truly an angel. Also, thank you to the many doctors, nurses, and staff at Aurora Home Hospice for the professional and loving attention Andy received while under their care.

Patti and I were deeply saddened to learn of Sonny’s passing. Our deepest condolences to Linda and Sonny’s extended family. Many fond memories of the boys when I would spend a couple of weeks at Aunt Ruth’s and Uncle Andy’s farm during the summer months. Always fun times.
