Racine – Arline Margaret (nee: Mauch) Klinkhammer, age 87, passed away peacefully at Racine Commons Assisted Living on Saturday, October 22, 2016.
Arline was born in Mantador, North Dakota on December 8, 1928 to the late Fred and Margaret (nee: Kohn) Mauch. On September 5, 1949 at St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Mantador, ND, she was united in marriage with the love of her life, Thomas L. Klinkhammer, who preceded her in death on June 12, 2012.
Stricken with a severe case of Polio at age 23, Arline was left partly paralyzed but she never considered it to be a disability. Arline was a devoted member of St. Lucy Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing cards, making cookies, keeping an impeccable home and spending every available moment with her grandchildren.
Surviving are her children, Judy (John) Napier, Fred (Kathy) Klinkhammer and Susan (Timothy “Beef”) Musurlian; grandchildren, Kierstyn (Michael) Napier-Dovorany, Hillary (Tomasz) Napier-Gondek; Kendell Klinkhammer and Lauren Musurlian; great-grandchildren, Vivian & Evan Dovorany; and George Gondek; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, Arline was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Lawrence (Evelyn) Mauch, Gerald Mauch, Donald (Betty) Mauch, Philetta (Nicholas) Radovich, Florence Mauch, Mary Anna (Jim) Hrdlicka, Joan (Albert) Hernke and Delores (John) Ittner.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 31, 2016 at 11:00 am in St. Lucy Catholic Church, 3101 Drexel Avenue, with Rev. Ronald Gramza officiating. Entombment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Sunday from 5:00 – 8:00 pm and in the church on Monday from 10-11 am. Memorials to the American Stroke Association, St. Lucy Catholic Church or to Seasons Hospice have been suggested.
A special note of thanks to Seasons Hospice for the compassionate care and support given in Arline’s time of need.

Mrs. Klinkhammer was a great and gracious lady with a big heart, who loved children, and just about everyone. She was good at taking out slivers too!
