Armando Flores Ortiz

RACINE – Mr. Armando F. Ortiz, 69, passed away at his residence on Thursday, April 21, 2016. 

   He was born in San Antonio, TX on November 28, 1946, the son of the late Santiago and Christina (nee: Flores) Ortiz. 

   Mr. Ortiz retired from JI Case Corporation after many years of employment.  He enjoyed spending his retirement working in his yard.

   He is survived by his daughters and sons, Dorothy Ortiz, Gabriel Ortiz, Sonia Ortiz and Armando Ortiz, Jr.; his friend and former wife, Sylvia Garza; his grandchildren, Chastity (Edgar) Ortiz, Madeline Ortiz, Arielle Perales, Santiana Perales, Aaryn Tishuk; his great grandchild, Emilliano Ortiz; his brothers and sisters, Gilbert Rodriguez, Joe F. (Patricia) Ortiz, James Ortiz, Beatrice Jimenez, Terry O. Rangel, Lupe F. Ortiz, and Adela O. Garcia all of San Antonio; as well as many nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Minnie Rodriguez and brother, Tony F. Ortiz.

   Family and friends are invited to meet in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Thursday, April 28, 2016 for a visitation and time to meet with his family from 10-11 a.m.  A service celebrating his life will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Mark R. Jones officiating.  He will be interred in San Antonio.
