Racine- Autumn Antonique Ford, 16, passed away on Friday, December 7, 2007, the victim of yet another senseless homicide in our community. Autumn was born in Racine on February 5, 1991 to Eugenia Ford and Mario Hudson. She attended local schools including Washington Park High School and Gateway Technical College. As a child of God, Autumn was baptized into her faith at Greater Mount Eagle Baptist Church. At age 8, she proclaimed Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior in Greater Grace Temple. Of recent, she was attending St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church. Among her interests, Autumn loved to skate, dance and shop. Surviving are her mother, Eugenia (Kenneth Stanley) Ford-Stanley of Racine; father, Mario Hudson of St. Paul, MN; brothers, Jamani and Rashard Stanley; sisters, Koleshia Graves, Latasha (Myron) Savage and Kendra Stanley; grandparents, Maude Jelks, Burdia Jordan, Marilyn (Ricky) Long and Joseph (Annie Pearl) Smith; great-grandmothers, Ada Wray and Earlean Lambert; great-great-grandfather, Odesta Lambert; special aunt, Michelle Hudson; and God-parents, Robert and Annie Hayes. Further surviving are a host of special aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends too numerous to mention by name. Autumn was preceded in death by her beloved sister, Ashland Ford on October 15, 2006; grandparents, Clarence “C.J.” Jelks, Cleveland Jordan, Sr., Lula Smith and Alberta Stanley; and great-grandparents, Ada White, William “Shoe Bread” Thomas, Rev. Nasree Jackson, Naomi Jackson and Winnie Jackson. Funeral services will be held in St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 1120 Grand Ave., on Friday, December 14, 2007 at 11:00 am with Bishop Lawrence L. Kirby and Rev. Keith T. Evans officiating. Interment, next to her sister – Ashland, will follow in Graceland Cemetery. There will be a viewing in the church on Friday from 9 am – 11 am. In memory of Autumn, contributions may be made to the family for a memorial that will be established at a later date. A heartfelt note of thanks to all the first responders of the Racine Police and Fire Departments for all their heroic efforts in trying to save our beloved Autumn; and to the gentleman, of who’s identity is unknown by our family, for holding Autumn’s hand during her final minutes of life on this earth. May God bless all of you!
