Racine – Benedetto “Benny” Castroreale, 86, received the promise of eternal life on Wednesday, March 25, 2015. He was born in West Allis on September 28, 1928, son of the late Antonio and Concetta (nee: Lonza) Castroreale.
Benny was united in marriage to the love of his life, the former, Delores “Dee” Jean Bisher, on November 11, 1955. Delores preceded him in death on September 25, 2014.
Benny had a very strong work ethic and passed this on to many. He was the owner of Wayside Construction for many years before relinquishing the business to his sons. Benny had a passion for working with his sons and providing for the family.
Benny leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Pam Smith, Anthony (Kim) Castroreale, Lori (Larry) Balke, Penny Frank, James Castroreale, and Linda (Jerry) Forsman; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Francis Willis; special nephew, Anthony Ingles; special friends, Dexter Atkins, Adam Lopez; other relatives and dear friends too numerous to mention.
In addition to his parents and wife, Benny is preceded in death by his siblings, Angeline Guzzaldo, Rose LaBrassca, and Frank Castroreale.
A celebration of Benny’s life with full military honors will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2015, 5:00pm, at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory, 4600 County Line Road, with Pastor Paul Rhoads officiating. Visitation will be from 3:00pm until the time of the service. Private interment will take place at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested memorials to Harbor Rock Tabernacle.
The family would like to extend a heart-felt “Thank You” to everyone involved in caring for Benny during his time of illness.

May God comfort you all in this time of loss. It was an honor to know Benny! Lori and Larry may God bless you mightily for the love, care and compassion you bestowed upon both Benny and Delores in their final days, weeks and months. You worked tirelessly day in and day out to provide for all their needs: both physical and emotional, but most importantly spiritual. You and your family and pastors never gave up to make sure they had peace in their hearts to know Jesus and spend eternity with Him! I have been blessed to know you all and will keep you in my prayers 🙂
