A legacy has come to an end. She made numerous contributions to society and the world is a much better place because of those contributions. She was so graceful and classic as a woman. She was the type of woman every good man wanted to take home to mama. She instilled those same traits in her daughter, my wife. I thank God every day for the time the three of us spent together. She called me Milton Boy, the Son she never had. Rest on Mom! See you on the the other shore! God bless!!

Rev. Ozetta Kirby says
Betty Stinson will always be remembered as a great leader in her community, being a driving force for freedom, justice, and equality in her involvement with education, special education, Racine NAACP, other civic and social organizations, her church Wayman AME, and other institutions of higher learning too numerous to name. She was definitely a role model for teachers, principals, and other administrators in various program capacities. Whenever I worked on a committee with her, her ideas were always the most expedient to get the task accomplished. She was not one to waste time on trivial things. She made every day count in her professional, spiritual, and family life. She was someone I looked up to in my first years as a teacher, and principal, in Racine Unified.
Rev. Ozetta Kirby says
Mrs. Betty H. Stinson worked tirelessly in her community, as a teacher and program support teacher in the Racine Unified School for so many years. Through her efforts so many children who had special needs were placed in the correct program and given the provisions available under 504. She was sharp and focused in her efforts to help bring more freedom, justice, and equality through her work in the Racine NAACP. She helped establish the Greater Racine Chapter of the Links, that was a great experience and help to this community, and throughout the world. Mrs. Stinson will be remembered for being a visionary. She often knew the solution, while other were just writing an agenda. She was a tremendous role model to me.
