Service Details
Her funeral service will be held in Pentecost Lutheran Church, 2213 Coolidge Ave., on Tuesday, September 5th, at 12:00 o’clock, with Rev. Luke Jacob officiating. Visitation will be in the church on Tuesday, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow in West Lawn Memorial Park.

Betty Schattner, 91 passed away at her residence on Monday, August 28, 2017. She was born in Racine on August 30,1925 the daughter of the late Daniel and Edna (nee: Schmidt) Langendorf.
On June 14, 1947, in Pentecost Evangelical Lutheran Church, she was united in marriage to Vernon T. Schattner who preceded her in death on July 24, 2015. Betty was a longtime member of Pentecost Lutheran Church. She was extremely active in her children lives while they were growing up. Betty and Vernon enjoyed camping with children and grandchildren on their property in Lakewood, WI. She liked working crossword puzzles and sewing.
Surviving are her children, Richard (Ingrid) Schattner, of Cripple Creek, CO, Leanne (Richard) Greil, of Waterford, Lois (Schattner) Perman, of Kenosha; forever son-in-law, Robert Perman, of Racine; 12 grandchildren, Joel Schattner, Kyle (Jenny) Schattner, Chrissy Schattner, Robert (Kerry) Greil, Rebecca (Jason) Rydzik, Reggie (Tiffany) Greil, Christopher (Heidi) Perman, Jennifer (Don Keller) Perman, Michael (Lauren) Perman, Paul (Natalie) Perman, Julie (Justin Hoffman) Perman, Michelle (Kevin Rogall) Perman; 21 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Joan Langendorf, of Racine. In addition to her beloved husband, and her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her two brothers, Earl Langendorf, killed in WWII, and Don Langendorf, and sister, Beverly Langendorf.
