When StarbuckJr high was being built Bruce & I took 2 pitchers of Koolaid in a wagon to sell to the construction workers @2-cents for a tiny cup. A bricklayer handed us a dollar and drank an entire pitcher. We spent many days together making forts, fishing & playing with his animals. We had chicken pox, mumps & measles together. His mom would take a carload of kids to zoos, museums, parks & beaches. She made the best chocolate-chip cookies w/nuts & lard. His grandma knitted wool mittens & darned socks. Good memories of his family abound in my mind.
