
Mr. Carl Principe, 90, died at the Wisconsin Veterans Home – Boland Hall on Monday, June 28, 2010.
He was born in Racine on July 31, 1919 to the late Louis and Jennie (nee: Mazzie) Principe. On June 26, 1948, he married the former Olwen Thomas. She preceded him in death on September 17, 2000.
Mr. Principe served his nation during WWII with the U.S. Army Air Force from 1942 -1945. He retired from Webster Electric with over 40 years of service. Mr. Principe was also a longtime member of Covenant Presbyterian Church, Roma Lodge and the Johnson Park Senior League.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Judith and Charles Nespoli of Racine; grandchildren, Erik Nespoli of Racine, Lisa (Clay) Wasielewski of Whitefish Bay; great grandson, Kenny Wasielewski; brother, Louis “Al” (Joan) Principe of Lahabra, CA; stepmother, Isolina Principe and stepbrother, John Principe both of Naperville, IL; as well as a niece and numerous nephews. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Henry Principe and sister, Ruth (Walter) Zubro.
Family and friends are invited to meet at Covenant Presbyterian Church (40 Ohio St) on Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. for the celebration of Mr. Principe’s life and funeral service with Rev. Victoria Millar and Rev. Melanie Hammond Clark officiating. His burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery with military honors. There will be a visitation at the church on Wednesday from 9:30 -10:15 a.m. Memorials have been suggested to Covenant Presbyterian Church or Wisconsin Veterans Home – Boland Hall.
