
Racine- Carol Ann (nee: Greeley) Barnett, 68, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded with the love of her family, on Sunday, August 14, 2011 following a courageous battle with cancer. A lifetime resident, Carol was born in Racine on October 12, 1942 to the late Alan D. and Florence C. (nee: Weber) Greeley. During her working career, she had been employed at Lehmann’s Bakery.
While united in marriage with Harold A. Schram, six children were born, Lynn Marie (Michael) Rodriguez; Vicki Ann Schram (who died as an infant); Mark Anthony Schram; Michele Ann (Robert) Kovac; Michael Allan (Karry Claus) Schram and George Albert (Mary) Schram. Further surviving are children through marriage, Ricky, David A., Larry Jr., Rocky and Michael Barnett and their families; adored grandchildren, Katherine Marie “Katie” Rodriguez, Jesse Michael Rodriguez, Donald Dwyer, Amber Lynn (Chris) Kovacik, Kenneth Andrew “Cole” “Andy” Cole, Sarah Lynn Kovac, Brad Kolarik, Kassie Pirk, Justin Claus, Kevin Robert Schram, Matthew Albert Schram, Alisa Jo Schram and Crystal Lynn Schram; beloved great-grandchildren, Julianne Rose Garcia, Connor John Kovacik, Lilian Rose “Lily” Kolarik, Destiny Pirk, Joseph Pirk, Kiersten Geschk, Caleb Sura, Kyora Claus and Kaylee Claus; sisters, Suzanne Marie Feucht and Sharon Lynn Cosford; nephews, Robert Greatsinger, Anthony Cosford and David Cosford; nieces, Carolyn Marie (Richard) Kirschman, Jr. and Sarah Cosford; great-nephew and niece, Mason and Hailey Cosford; close family friends of whom Carol resided with, Tamara and Suzie Dower; many other special relatives and friends too numerous to mention by name.
In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her beautiful daughter in infancy, Vicki Ann Schram; and former husband, Larry D. Barnett.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 18, 2011 at 11:00 am in Racine Baptist Temple, 4825 Taylor Avenue, with Rev. Frank Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be in the church on Thursday from 10-11 am.
A heartfelt note of thanks to Rev. Frank and Mrs. Williams, and the entire church family of Racine Baptist Temple, who have been of great comfort throughout Carol’s illness and salvation; and to Wheaton Cancer Center and Hospice, especially Dr. Richard Odders, for their loving and compassionate care.
