Miller's FlowersCarol would like you to know that after 93 years her time here on earth ended on September 22. She received a call for an appointment from which she will not be returning. This appointment will take her to a wonderful place where she will have a happy reunion with family and friends she has not seen in a long time. She will now have plenty of time for socializing, dancing, gardening, and reading to her hearts content.
Carol was born in Racine on December 15, 1922, the daughter of the late Leland and Josephine (nee: Haney) Bowers. She graduated from Union Grove High School in 1940. On October 11, 1941, she was united in marriage to Allen T. Christensen who preceded her in death in 1990. Carol was active in the American Legion Auxiliary, the Girl Scouts, and in teaching Sunday school. After raising her children, she went back to school to earn a certificate as a nursing assistant and worked at Lincoln Lutheran Home. Many of her relatives are buried in Sylvania Cemetery; and, like her mother before her, Carol served on the cemetery board for many years. She inherited and collected antiques which she loved displaying in her home. She was also a Green Bay Packer fan and enjoyed watching the games with her son Dennis. Carol was a fun loving, supportive, and caring person who will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Surviving are her son Gary (Vicki) Christensen and her daughter Donna (Bart) Dosedla; three grandchildren Beau (Liza) Michna, Andrea Dosedla, and Derek Dosedla; five great-grandchildren Logan, Angelina, Elizabeth, Anastasia, and Isabella. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends. A special thank you to Charlotte & Dennis and Don & Dee for their many acts of kindness during her later years. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son Dennis, and her sister Beverly Hansen.
There will be a Mass of Christian Burial celebrating her life in St. John the Baptist Church, 1501 172nd Avenue in Paris on Friday, September 30, at 11:00 A.M. You may meet with the family, in the funeral home on Thursday from 5:00 P.M. to 7 P.M. or in the church on Friday from 10:30 A.M. until the time of service. She will be laid to rest in the Sylvania Cemetery between her husband and son.

Sorry for your loss Donna. I can’t make it because I broke my ankle and can’t drive. My regards to your family.
