RACINE – Mrs. Caroline C. Christensen, 78, passed away at WFH – All Saints on Monday, October 14, 2013.
She was born in Milwaukee on July 28, 1935, the daughter of the late Joseph and Helen (nee: Marcaniak) Kraczek. Caroline served in the US Navy Reserve from 1958 – 1963. Following the Navy, she worked at Milwaukee Forge and Machine for the next 25 years. On May 29, 1982 she married Donald Leroy Christensen. She moved to Racine the following year and has resided here since. Donald preceded her in death on January 7, 2013.
Caroline attended St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church. She enjoyed shopping and trips to the Racine Theater Guild. She recently traveled to New York with her family to see two Broadway productions. Those were to be her last.
She is survived by her sisters, Adeline (Dan) Syverson of Madera, CA., Rosalie (John) Peterson of Wauwatosa, Robert Kraczek of Port St. Lucy, FL., many dear nieces and nephews; as well as her beloved shih-tzu, Prince Leroy. Caroline was also preceded in death by her brother, Donald Kraczek.
Family and friends are invited to meet at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church (6400 Spring St. “Hwy C”) on Thursday, October 24, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. for the celebration of her life and memorial Mass with Rev. Terry Heubner officiating. A private interment will take place at West Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been suggested to St. Paul the Apostle Church.
