Racine – Caroline Kay Harris, age 60, passed away at Ascension All Saints Hospital on Wednesday, October 5, 2022.
Caroline was born in Humboldt, Tennessee on September 20, 1962 to the late Theodore Edward Harris, Sr. and Mary Till (nee: Copeland) Davis. She was united in marriage to Terry Lee Harris, Sr. They were blessed with daughter, Aaryn Kay Harris from Racine and son, Terry Lee Harris, Jr. from Fort Worth, TX. She was an extremely loving mother who took pride in her children. Caroline spent many years as a nurse in the department of labor and delivery. She showed great care for the babies and families with which she worked. Caroline had strong beliefs and opinions and was a woman of her convictions. She was strong-willed and diligent in conquering the tasks she was given. Caroline was a huge fan of Michael Jackson. In her leisure time, she enjoyed shooting pool and throwing darts. During her youth, she participated in drill team and later became a drill team instructor. In 1971, Caroline took First Place in the Miss Black Racine – Mini Miss Pageant.
Caroline is survived by daughter, Aaryn and son, Terry; grandchildren, Kaylee Samantha Harris, Moses Michael Harris, Malcolm Omar Harris, Ruby Kay Harris, Angel Alexia-Leigh White, Princess-Arihanna Kay White and Prince-Apollo Christopher White; sister, Pamela Harris from Racine and brothers, Theodore Edward (Jo Carol) Harris, Jr. from Memphis, TN and Patrick Bouvier Harris from Racine; nephew, Theodore Edward Harris III from Racine; great niece, Zemirah Jenay Hunter; great nephews, Justin, Tyler and Ryan Harris from Memphis, TN; aunt, Maydell (nee: Boudry) McFadden and uncle, Gene Earl McFadden, both from Tupelo, MS; great aunts, Madeline Pettiegrew from Racine and Doris Linningham from Kansas City, MO; special cousin, Eddie Campbell; and many other relatives and friends. Caroline was preceded in death by her husband, Terry; parents, Theodore and Mary; stepfather, Juddie Bogan; grandmothers, Carnelia (nee: Walker) Pettiegrew, and Cluster Jane Harris; grandfather, Bruce McFadden; very special niece, Alexia Leigh Johnson; great aunt, Linda Kay Campbell.
