Carolyn D. Smith, 52, was called Home by her Loving Savior on Wednesday, April 15, 2015. Carolyn was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on July 14, 1962. She received her God at an early age. Carolyn was educated in the schools in her home state before moving to Racine.
She had been employed by Lincoln Village Convalescent Center as a C.N.A. for over twenty-five years until she retired due to her illness. Carolyn loved to attend concerts, live performances, traveling, and visiting relatives and friends.
Surviving are her loving and devoted daughters, Annette Smith, of Racine, and Amy Smith and her husband, Christian Goudiaby, of Brown Deer WI; 9 grandchildren, Javen Smith, Orlando Robinson Jr., Devin Robinson, Korinthian Smith, Keilen Hicks, Deandre (Tierra) Smith Sr., Tyrail Trussell, Maya Goudiaby, and Sophia Goudiaby; 2 great grandsons, Deandre Smith Jr. and Kaden Smith; 2 brothers, Tony Grieder and Tracie Smith; sister, Lisa Sullivan, all of Racine; special niece and nephews, Aronna James, Frank Hatchett, and David Fletcher Jr.; and special great nieces and nephew, Aniah, Chasity, and Amillian Hatchett. She is also survived by her other nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends. Carolyn was preceded in death by her mother, Aretha Sullivan.
Her funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Friday, April 24th, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Pamela Smith officiating. Visitation will be in the funeral on Friday, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery.
