Racine – Darrle (Ruffin) Dotson, age 54, passed away on Friday, September 27, 2019. He was born December 18, 1964 to R.L. and Mary Lou (nee: Lee) Ruffin in Cook County, Illinois. He was educated in his younger years in Cook County, and later, in Racine, WI. Darrle, affectionately known as D.R., was a handyman all of his adult life – doing jobs such as: lawn care, construction, roofing, home repairs, car repairs…..and, yes, loving his family & friends too – a job Darrle also loved!
Darrle was blessed with two wonderful daughters, Sparkela Allen & Talayzia Vaughn, both of Racine; and six grandchildren, R’Kyrion, R’Shari, Ry’Shawn, Re’al, Reign & A’dore Allen, all of Racine. Darrle also leaves to cherish his memories: three brothers, Lester (Sylvia) Dotson of Lockport, IL; Raymond Dotson & Robert Ruffin, both of Racine; three sisters, Teresa (Travis) Klyce, Jan Dotson & Rhonda Ruffin, all of Racine; two uncles, Henry (Renee) Lee of Racine & Jack Davis of Joliet, IL; special niece, D’maya Ruffin; many other dear nieces, nephews, cousins & friends – all of which Darrle loved so much…and that love was returned. Darrle was preceded in death by his parents, R.L. & Mary Lou (nee: Lee) Ruffin; brother, James Shariff Ruffin; maternal grandparents, Robert & Beatrice Lee; and aunt, Juanita (Jack) High.
