Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family. I’ll never forget that time when we went to Wisconsin Dells with you , Lindsey, and Erik and Matt kept saying I like the smell of bananas in the morning. Rest in peace Dave you were a good friend .

Just heard of this incredibly sad and shocking news. We were proud to know Dave and enjoyed his annual stays with us at Rim Rock Lodge in Spearfish Canyon during the Sturgis Rally. He was one of the nicest people we met over the years – he did, in fact, have a heart of gold. He rode his bike up and down our steep gravel driveway like nobody else – put amateurs to shame. We were so looking forward to seeing him again this year and sharing the Kringle’s and Wisconsin cheese that he always brought for all our guests. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends – many of whom we feel like we already know from his epic storytelling. Dave was one of a kind and we’ll miss him. Godspeed on your next journey, Dave.
