David Richard Smith, age 75, passed away at Hospice Alliance – Hospice House in Pleasant Prairie on Tuesday, November 26, 2024.
David was born in Sturtevant to Dennis and Joyce (nee: Braatz) Smith on November 21, 1949. A 1967 graduate of Horlick High School, David went to faithfully serve our country from 1970 – 1975. He was employed by JI Case/CNH as a machine repair technician for over 20 years. On April 10, 1976, David was united in marriage with Cathy Tepley. David loved to be up north with family and friends, where they would spend time fishing and enjoying the sights and sounds of nature.
Surviving are his wife, Cathy; children, Jason (Courtney) Smith, Justin (Britane) Smith, Melissa Smith and Correy (Steve) Goodwin; his siblings and their spouses, Duane (Pam) Smith, Linda (Robert) Gonzalez, Darlene (Robert) McGrath, Dick (Karen) Smith, Susan (Darrell) Rockhill, Jan Smith, Donald (Suechen) Smith and Judith Minor. David was preceded in death by his daughter, Kristi Moore; his parents, Dennis and Joyce; brother, Dennis Smith; sisters, Sandra Davis and Marj Smith.
