Service Details
His funeral service will be held at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory on Friday, January 20th at 7:00 p.m. The visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
David Zavala, 62, passed into eternal life surrounded by his family on Saturday, January 14, 2023. He was born in Humacao, Puerto Rico on December 21, 1960. The son of Manuel and Lydia (nee: Coll) Zavala Velez .
On July 16, 1983, he was united in marriage to Diane Kay White. David had been employed by Great Northern Container for over 25 years, retiring in 2018. He was a faithful member of Hope City Church. David was a die-hard Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears fan.
Surviving are his wife, Diane, of nearly 40 years; their children, Trista (Kevin Stich) Zavala, and David J. Zavala; five grandchildren, Isaiah Zeitz, Jayden Zeitz, Jozlyn Zavala, Jeremiah Zavala, and Colle Zavala, his mother, Lydia Zavala, all of Racine; brothers and sisters, Abigail (Luis) Perez, of Milwaukee, Moises (Celerina) Zavala, Ruth (Gabriel) Salinas, Daniel (Bridget) Zavala, and Noemi (Reginald Hayes) Zavala, sister-in-law Ana Zavala all of Racine, many nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends. David was preceded in death by his father, Manuel Zavala Velez, and brother, Abimael Zavala.
