Dawn Marie Zimny, 54, passed away at home on Tuesday March 21 2017. She was born in Milwaukee on April 5, 1962, daughter of Melvin and Jacqueline. (nee: Hudzinski) Zimny. She was a graduate of Greendale High School (Class of 1982), but had been a Racine area resident for many years.
Dawn loved animals and most especially cats. She had long-time pet cats named Alfie and Taz who were her pride and joy. With a sense of style, Dawn enjoyed fashion and dressing in beautiful clothes. Her big heart, smile, laugh and hugs will be missed.
Dawn is survived by her long-time and loving companion, Patrick Hurley of Mt. Pleasant, WI; her mother Jackie Zimny of Greenfield, WI; brothers Robb (fiancé Martie Breitenfeldt) Zimny of Marquette, WI and Rory (spouse Timothy Webb) Zimny of St. Charles, IL; aunt Patricia Brown of Greenfield, WI; nephew Kale Zimny of Greendale, WI; as well as many other relatives and friends, including James (spouse Michele) Hurley of Des Moines, IA, Kathleen Hurley of Milwaukee, WI, and David (spouse DeeAnn) Hurley of Colgate, WI. Dawn was preceded in death by her father; sister-in-law Tammy Zimny, and nephew Jesse Zimny.
Complete services held in the chapel at St. Adalbert Cemetery (3801 South 6th Street, Milwaukee). Visitation from 11am to 12pm. Funeral service to follow at 12pm. So sorry to hear of the passing of Dawn. I haven’t seen her since we were little girls. We grew up in the same neighborhood on 23rd street. My parents saw her obituary and showed it to me. My thoughts and prayers go out to you.
