Racine – Deacon Willie Spencer Hardin, was born on July 18, 1953 in New Albany, Mississippi to the late Marion Spencer Hardin and Shirley (nee: Martin) Reams.
Willie received his formal education in New Albany, Mississippi an graduated from W.P. Daniel High School. Willie was employed by the City of Racine as a part of the Outdoor Maintenance Department and retired after thirty years of dedicated service.
Willie Hardin was united in holy matrimony with Lori Fulce on October 19, 1996 in Racine, Wisconsin. In his leisure, he enjoyed playing golf and video games.
Willie accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age and was united with Second Missionary Baptist Church in Racine, Wisconsin under the leadership of the late Rev. Mack C. Davis. Willie later united with Christ Chapel Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. William A. Lofton, followed by Pastor Mark D. Gates and he was currently serving as the Chairman of The Deacon Board under the leadership of Pastor T. L. Howell. Deacon Willie Hardin through the Sunday School Publishing Board of the National Baptist Convention USA, Inc became a certified teacher in several courses. He was and Instructor in the Wisconsin General Baptist State Convention USA, Inc in Congress of Christian Education under the leadership of Pastor Russell B. Williamson. President. He also was a Sunday School teacher at the Christ Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.
Deacon Willie Spencer Hardin departed this life on January 16, 2020 in Racine, Wisconsin., He was preceded in death by his grandparents Andrew and Eunice McKinney; parents, Marion “Toadie” Hardin and Shirley Reams; sister Debra Walker and sister in law Debra Reams.
Deacon Willie Hardin leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of twenty-three years Lori N. Hardin; three daughters Erica Hardin of Ripley, Mississippi, Hillary Hardin of Manhattan, New York and Shawnta (Ryan) Busby of Racine, Wisconsin; two sons Marcel Fulce and Desmond (Denice) Fulce both of Racine, Wisconsin; two sisters Brenda Hardin of Racine, Wisconsin and Linda Young of New Albany, Mississippi; his brother Jodi Reams Jr. of Racine, Wisconsin; twenty-four grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; his step-father Jodi Reams Sr., as well as a host of nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends too numerous to mention by name.
A Celebration of His Life will be held on Monday, January 27, 2020 11:00am at Christ Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 815 Park Ave., Racine, WI. Visitation will be in the church from 10:00am until the time of service. Rev. T.L. Howell will be officiating.
