Delia (Rosa) Balderas

Feb 9, 1961 – Nov 14, 2024

Service Details

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 21st, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant, WI. Burial will take place at 2:30 PM at Old Holy Cross Cemetery in Racine, WI.

Our Heavenly Father called His daughter, Delia (Rosa) Balderas, to her eternal home on Thursday, November 14th. She was a radiant light on this Earth since February 9th, 1961.

Delia was a beloved wife, mother, “Buela”, sister, and daughter who leaves behind a legacy built on the faith and love she had for Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. As “Buela”, she delighted in bringing smiles to her grandchildren, offering wisdom, being a dependable presence, and sharing her unfailing love.  As “Ama”, she encouraged her children to explore their passions in music, arts, languages, sports, and more. She was an incredible guiding light, supporting them as they navigated parenthood, and she found great joy in celebrating their notable achievements.  As a wife and sister, Delia loved remarkably through sickness and health. She cherished moments of laughter and joy, sharing stories from decades spent together.  Delia and her family devoted their free time to exploring new adventures, both far and near. Her kind, generous heart ensured no one felt unseen, as she gave without expecting anything in return. God blessed Delia with the gift of creating delicious cuisines. Her servant’s heart found pure joy in delighting those around her with her meals. She will also be remembered for her contagious laugh that filled a room.

Delia is survived by her husband, Efren Balderas; her children, Imelda, Hilda, Efren Jr., and Fernando Balderas; her grandchildren, Issiah, Christian and Gavin Hamilton, Nicholai and Jaxon Deadrick, Mackenzie Balderas, Githyan, Jaythmar, and Yarethxy Balderas; her daughter-in-law, Thayra Cardenas; and her siblings in both Chicago, IL, and Mexico. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Delia Balderas, and her parents.

Dear Langendorf Family,

There are no words to describe how thankful and loved we felt during our Grandpa’s funeral service. We are so lucky to know you as friends and we will be forever grateful for everything you have done for us and for Grandpa Mario throughout his lifetime and after his death. He loved you all and enjoyed sharing so many great times with you in the barbershop and as neighbors. Please accept our heartfelt thanks for all your caring ways and thoughtfulness and extend our appreciation to all at the funeral home who made Mario’s service so memorable.
