Union Grove-Dennis C. Spring, 75 (formerly of Racine) passed away after a brief illness, leaving this world and entering into eternal glory on Monday, April 6, 2015. He was born in Wauwatosa on June 2, 1939, son of the late Herman and Alice (Snopek) Spring. His very dear uncle George and his wife Stella Spring raised Dennis from a young age. On Sept 26, 1959, Dennis was united in marriage to Leona Beres.
Dennis was a member of the 30-year club at Racine Steel Castings. After retiring, he worked for the Racine Journal Times. Dennis always enjoyed being in the company of his family, and he loved to drive and take road trips with his wife for fun. One of their best trips was going to the Dakotas. Annually, Dennis reveled in his love for nature by deer hunting and fishing. He will be remembered for driving his antique Ford Model A in the Racine 4th of July parade in the 1970's.
Surviving are his children, Nancy (Tim) Gename of Racine, Lynda (Carl) Nejedly of Mt. Pleasant, Dennis A. (Kelly) Spring of East Troy, and his two precious grandchildren Kate Elizabeth and Cory Joseph Nejedly. Dennis is also survived by his sister Darlene Reagan of Milwaukee and sister-in-law Gertrude Spring of Texas along with other relatives and dear friends. Dennis was preceded in death by his dear wife Leona of nearly 50 years. Also proceeded in death by sister Doreen, brothers: David, Derrick, half-brothers Terry and Lauren.
Funeral services will be held at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Friday April 10, 2015 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Michael Zarling officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Caledonia. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 5-7 p.m. and Friday beginning at 10 a.m. Please consider donations in Dennis's memory to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation.

I am sorry to hear that Dennis has passed and wish to express our condolences. We will not be able to attend the visitation or funeral since we are involved in a funeral for Kurt’s mom during this same time period. Again, we would like to express our deepest sympathy for your loss.
