
Kenosha – Eberhard Christoph Esser, 75, passed away at United Hospital System – Kenosha on Thursday, April 28, 2016. He was born in Germany on September 11, 1940, the son of the late Eberhard and Anne (nee: Wendring) Esser. At 11 years of age he and his family moved to Canada and settled in Chicago 3 years later. Eberhard had been a Kenosha resident since 1983. On June 11, 1994 he was married in Faith Lutheran Church to Julie Dexter.
Eb was a machine operator at Crescent Cardboard in Wheeling, Illinois until he retired in 2000. He enjoyed fishing and boating on our inland lakes; putzing and tinkering around the house; reading, and his canine companion, “Packer”.
Mr. Esser is survived by his wife Julie Esser of Kenosha; his brother Wolfgang (and Patricia) Esser of Porto, Arizona; brothers-in-law William (and Patricia) Dexter of Union Grove, and Arthur (and Jill) Dexter of Racine; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was also preceded in death by his brother-in-law John (and Marian) Dexter.
Funeral Services will be held in the funeral home on at 12 noon on Thursday, May 5, 2016. Visitation with his family will be from 10:30 until 12 noon.
Memorials to Faith Lutheran Church have been suggested.

Julie, we were so sorry to hear about Eb. We very much enjoyed talking to him at family gatherings. He always had great stories and always made us smile. We are sorry we will not be able to attend the funeral, but be sure our thoughts and prayers are with you.
