
Edna M. Firkus, 74, passed away at her residence on Thanksgiving morning, with her family at her side. She was born in Scotts Bluff, NE on July 22, 1934 the daughter of the late Henry and Esther (nee: Arntt) Eisel. On January 31, 1959, in Christ Congregational Church, here in Racine, she was united in marriage to Carroll D. Firkus. She had been employed in Insinkerator for over 15 years. Surviving is her husband of nearly 50 years, Carroll; their son Jeffery Firkus, sister-in-law Crystal Bouwens all of Racine. Several brothers, sisters, half-brothers, half-sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends also survive her. A Memorial Service will be held in the funeral home on Monday, December 1st at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Stephen Samuelson officiating. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Inurnment will be in the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family has suggested memorials to the Oncology Alliance Philanthropy Fund.
