Elizabeth “Beth” M. Konicek (nee St. Amand) passed away early Sunday morning, October 6th at St. Lukes Hospital in Milwaukee, WI with family and husband at her side. She was born in Racine, WI on October 18th, 1955, to Robert “Bob” and JoAnne St. Amand (nee Eppler). On October 6, 1984, she was united in marriage to Ryan D. Konicek, and by just hours, achieved a milestone 40th anniversary with her favorite dance partner. Beth is survived by her son Jason Konicek and daughter-in-law, Megan (nee Lloyd) and grandsons Erik Jason and Owen Frederick and by her daughter Stefanie and son-in-law Daniel Eaton and granddaughters, Leila Elizabeth and Cecilia Ann.
Beth graduated from Park High School in 1973 where she participated in DECA (Distributed Education Clubs of America) and went on to complete her Associate Degree in Business at Gateway Technical College. She worked at Lappin Electric, McGraw Edison and Rexnord before starting her family and in later years at Alpha Homes in the business office.
Beth spent her happiest years as a homemaker—pouring her heart and soul into her family and friends—while also volunteering at her children’s school (Concordia Lutheran), at church (Faith Lutheran) and in her community (RYS/Volleyball, Girl Scouts). She was an adoring Grandmother who found joy in having her children and grandchildren nearby. Visits were frequent, cherished and helped sustain her health for many years as she bravely faced multiple health challenges. As a grandmother, she loved providing care and early education for her “girlies” and grandsons. Beth, along with her daughter, was a lifelong Green Bay Packer fan and enjoyed the on-going rivalry between the Packers and her husband and son’s favorite team, the Vikings. She also enjoyed crocheting and sewing along with genealogy research. Beth spent many satisfying hours researching, documenting, and sharing her paternal and maternal family history.
Beth is further survived by her mother JoAnne, lifelong friends Kathy Robers and Jerry Klinkosh, sisters Charmaine Doherty (Stephen) of Lake Forest, IL and Dorothy Kovac (William) of Muskego, WI along with nieces and nephews Mary Kate Clifford (Timothy) and son Steven Patrick; Connor Doherty and fiancé Angela Hosbein; Kevin Doherty, and Erin Doherty; William Kovac (Janea Schimmel) and daughter Isadora; Thomas Kovac (Abbey, nee Close) and children Robert and Audrey; James Kovac (Hannah, nee Granger) and children Jackson and Isabella; Jennifer Sternecker (Weston) and daughter Hazel; and Kenneth Kovac. Her father, whom she dearly missed, preceded her in death October 10th, 1994 and special friend Amy Jensen in 2004. She was also preceded in death by her grandparents Hector and Elizabeth St. Amand (nee Mauer), Harold and Marie Eppler (nee Funk), special Great Uncle and Aunt, Theodore and Myrtle Eppler (nee Henningsen), and dear friend, Beth Klinkosh. Beth is also survived by her mother-in-law Gloria Konicek (nee Beck) and brother-in-law Jerry Lee and was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Jerome “Jerry” Konicek along with other Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
Her family extends their thanks and gratitude to the DaVita Willow Creek team—especially Vanessa, Andy, and Sue for all their caring support.

Stefanie and family-
I am so sorry to hear of your Mom’s passing. Losing your Mom is losing your best friend and biggest cheerleader. Now you and your family especially all the grandbabies have a special guardian angel. She will never be gone as long as you share your memories. Although you will miss her, you were blessed to be loved by her. Many hugs.

Dear St. Amand & Konicek families:
My deepest condolences to all of you in the passing of cousin Beth. Rest assured, her and Uncle Bobbie are having a grand ol time in Heaven enjoying dancing and a weiny roast, but mostly being by her wonderful Father and catching up. I very much liked Beth’s sass and she was so VERY proud of all of her family and children. May the wonderful memories of Beth bring smiles to your faces and warm your hearts. She wouldn’t want it any other way. And as someone said before, she will be the Guardian Angel for sure. Rest in peace cousin Beth and you will surely be missed but never forgotten.
