Our Beloved Fay Wright Jenkins, age 63, passed away peacefully with her family and friends by her side on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, after a courageous battle with a long-term illness. Fay was born in Shelby, Mississippi on October 13, 1959, to Willie and LeeDale Wright. Fay was baptized at an early age at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in Kenosha, WI. She attended schools in Kenosha, graduating from Tremper High School in 1978. She later graduated from Gateway Technical College with an associate degree.
Fay served her country as a soldier in the United States Army. After her service in the Army, she went on to retire from Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Wisconsin Inc. as a Process Review Manager. Her previous employers included Regal China and St. Catherineβs Hospital. Fay was hard-working and successful at everything she focused her mind on. She was a dedicated mother to her only son, Freddie, and was a great friend to everyone she met. Fay also had a special love for her animals, having dogs and cats as pets at the same time. She enjoyed lobster and steak, with plenty of butter, when she dined at Hellβs Kitchen in Las Vegas. Fay always encouraged her nieces and nephews to do their best, and she was willing to help them at any time.
She will be tremendously missed by her son, Fredrick Troy Jenkins, Jr.; her parents, Willie and LeeDale Wright; her three brothers, LeeDale Wright, Jr. (Anna Ross), Anthony Wright, both of Kenosah, and Obie Wright (Comonique) of Paducah, KY; her godsons, Arthur West of Kenosha and Ca’San Kross of Sparta, WI; her aunts and uncles, Betty Joe McKethan, Senora Hill, Calvin and Ethel Kentcy; her great aunt Evelyn Brantley Jordan; cousins, Kelvin (Glory) Kentcy of Chattanooga, TN and Demere Kentcy of Kenosha. Fay was preceded in death by her brother, Christopher E. Wright; her grandparents, Leola Johnson, and Margie and Clarence Steel. Because of the life Fay lived, she leaves to cherish her memory to a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Condolences to the family. I pray God’s love comforts your hears during this difficult time. I meet Fay when I started working at Western Publishing many years ago. She was my supervisor at the data center. Fay had a beautiful smile and personality to go along with it. Her unique laugh always helped us get through the day. We quickly became friends and she shared her family with me. I have many fond memories of going to her parents home and meeting her parents, aunt, uncles and cousins. We lost touch through the years, life happens, but our friendship has lived on.
I will always cherish the last words we spoke to each other a couple of weeks ago, I love you.
I won’t say goodbye but see you later my friend. You made it home, take your rest in the arms of our Lord. No more pain, sorry or heart ache.
