Family and friends are invited to meet at Compassion Tabernacle United Holy Church of America (2044 Mead Street) on Saturday NOVEMBER 6, 2021 for a visitation from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
The celebration of his life and Homegoing will follow at 11:00 a.m. (The family requests that everyone wears a mask)
A procession to West Lawn Memorial Park will follow.

Deacon Finner Wayne Hopkins was born June 19, 1936 to Robert and Eula Hopkins, in New Albany Mississippi. Deacon Hopkins answered the ultimate call from His Lord and Savior and went home to be with Him on October 23, 2021.
Finner W Hopkins relocated from New Albany Mississippi to Racine, Wisconsin. At the age of 19, Finner married the love of his life, Ruby Mae Carter on June 19, 1958. Finner and Ruby Hopkins were married for 63 years!!!!!
Finner W Hopkins was employed at JI Case for thirty plus years. Those that knew him knew that Finner was an avid fishermen and hunter. Finner loved his dogs. His friends Rick and Joe often hunted with him, they shared many memorable moments. Finner also dabbled in modeling. He modeled for Jenifer’s Talent Agency. He was displayed in a magazine, on posters ,and on local area business cards.
As time passed, Finner accepted the Lord as his Lord and Savior at Compassion Tabernacle United Holy Church of America under the leadership of Pastor John Smith. Deacon Hopkins served faithfully until his health declined. When his health declined his daughter Jeanette Williams stepped right in and volunteered to become his personal caregiver.
Deacon Finner Wayne Hopkins leaves to cherish; his loving wife Ruby Mae Hopkins; his son, Timothy Wayne Hopkins of Virginia Beach Virginia; his daughters, Jeanette Williams, Tammy L Hopkins, Juvida Robbins, Darlene (Ray) McNeal, Angela (Billy) Gentry, all of Racine Wisconsin; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews, and special friends, Barbra Hopkins and Naomie Craddock
Deacon Finner Wayne Hopkins was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Eula Hopkins; his brothers, LaVerne Hopkins, James Hopkins; sisters, Leola Hill Doxey, Lucille Hopkins, Mamie Hill, Burmia Barker, Betty Albritton, Helen McKinney, and son-in-law David Wayne Williams.
Finner’s Homegoing service will be held at Compassion Tabernacle2044 Mead Street Racine Wisconsin on Saturday November 6,2021. His visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. The service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Elder Ray McNeal officiating. Burial will follow at West Lawn Park.
