I have known Fran for many years. We met in grade school (Lincoln) We ended up going to different Jr. and Sr. high schools. We met again after we met each other when we worked at Young Radiator Co. She came to live with me and my mom and dad at that time until she got married. She and me were like sisters. We had a great time together. My mom and dad were like her mom and dad. When I got married in 1965 she was my maid of honor. She and Lee came to our 50th wedding anniversary in 5 years ago. I sent Fran emails but we didn’t get together . I guess we were busy with our families , children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. I feel bad that we didn’t get together . She was always in my thoughts and heart. My heart goes out to you, Lee and all of her beautiful family. She was very proud of you and loved you very much. She had a heart of gold. May God be with you at this time and always.

I have a wealth of good memories When it comes to Fran. We met early 90’s through square dancing. We became fast friends. Through the years She has always been there for me. She was there when I got married, Any trouble and needed to talk to someone Fran was there giving love, help and advise. Fran always went the extra mile for anyone. . A few of us from square dancing formed a dinner club. we met at each others homes and shared great food over great talk. Fran was a great clown graduating from clown school. I was an Irish Leprechaun dressed in costume , Together we walked the 3mile July 4th Racine parade Not once but a couple of times.. I remember it was hot and we made it to the end and waited to get picked up. Fran never turned down something that was fun. The dinner parties came to a Holt and we then got together over dinner in a restaurant. Over dinner I was talking of my hobby of doing family tree look up. Fran said that she did not know much on her mothers family. So after Christmas I had Fran spit into the tube and took her DNA through ancestry. The results came in in March. Because of the Pandemic I had to try to print out her results and send then to her. I did get her connected to her long lost cousin. He called her and they had a great chat. At the time of Fran’s passing We were waiting for the covid 19 to end So I could show her what I found. Sad to say Fran passed before I could show her every thing. My husband Ricky and I are feeling this loss For Fran meant so much to us. We are sending our prayers thoughts and love to Lee, and the family. P.S and if anyone wants to help me continue Fran’s family tree journey feel free to contact me, Yours Theresa (mitchell ) Peterson

To Everyone in your Wonderful Family,
We have always considered Lee, Fran and their children to be very special . Fran was very kind to me when our daughter was in kindergarten . I will always remember her helping hand. When our children went to school together we were privileged to have had your children in activities we were responsible for. When we needed some extra help Fran was always willing to lend a hand. It is with sadness but beautifiul memories that we write this. We no longer live in Racine so our connections have dwindled.
God bless all of you and the love you shared with an awesome lady.

I remember baby-sitting the 6 kids! They usually set their own bedtimes! Fran would be out dancing or going to PWP with my Mom. My Mom and her were good friends for many years. Fran’s husband Lee always repaired our cars and taught me and my brother how to do maintenance on cars. I remember falling asleep on Fran’s couch when baby-sitting and her coming in the door humming some tune from the dance she was at. She was always ready to give advice and talk to you if you wanted about Life things. She also had a collection of sci-fi books that I would read after the kids were in bed. She was close to my brother and sister as well.
