Gary A. Harvey

Jan 1, 1948 – Jan 27, 2008

Gary A. Harvey, 60, passed away at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee on Sunday, January 27, 2008. He was born on January 1, 1948, son of the late Royal and Levia (nee: Marabelli) Harvey. Most of his life he had lived in Racine. Gary graduated from Washington Park High School, where he enjoyed playing intramural football. After graduation he was employed by Racine Sheppard Plating Company. Gary became ill when he was a young adult, and resided for many years in several nursing homes in the area. He was an avid Green Bay Packer fan, and enjoyed reading a few good books, the newspaper, and listening to old rock and roll songs. He is survived by his brothers and sisters, Dennis Harvey of Topeka, Kansas, Terry (Terry) Harvey of Racine, Randy (Kathy) Harvey of Kenosha, Barb Reynolds of Racine, and Pam (Wayne) Korte of Kenosha; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Memorial services will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church, 3825 Erie Street, at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 1, 2008 with Pastor Linda Vance officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Caledonia. Visitation will begin in the church at 10:00 a.m. Memorials to the National Alliance on Mental Illness have been suggested.
