Kenosha – Gerald “Jerry” Sadowsky, beloved son, uncle and friend, passed away on Monday, May 16, 2016 in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
Jerry was born to Dominic Frank and Helen Sadowsky on January 31, 1944 in Racine, Wisconsin. As a toddler he contracted polio and spent time in an iron lung. He attended St. Catherine's Catholic schools in Racine. After graduating Jerry worked for many years at St. Luke’s Memorial Hospital.
Jerry is survived by his nieces Kara Wichman (Jeff) and Heather Tobiasen (Jared) and their children. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Richard.
Jerry's greatest enjoyment was listening to Johnny Cash, playing cribbage, eating pizza and kolaches and, and spending time with his neighbors and friends. His friendships spanned many decades, enriching his life with love, humor, loyalty, and happy times. He is survived by his dear friends Kenny Otowaska, Steve Anderson, Wayne Fanning and Peggy Mickelson.
Services are at 11:00am on Wednesday, May 25th, at St. Lucy’s Church, 3101 Drexel Ave, Racine, with burial following at Holy Cross Cemetery in Caledonia.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to his caregivers at Meadowmere Southport in Kenosha, where he has resided for the last 2 years.

Jerry was a good friend of mine and my brother Dick. We spent alot of time together as kids. With the help of Kenny Otowaska we were able to continue our relationship until just before he passed. Looking forward to seeing Jerry again in heaven.
