Racine – Gregory Raymond Jorgensen, age 48, passed away unexpectedly, yet peacefully in his sleep, on Thursday, February 17, 2022.
Greg was born in Racine on December 2, 1973 to the late Raymond and Patricia (nee: Boyd) Jorgensen. He was a graduate of Washington Park High School. He faithfully served our country with the United States Army 82nd Airborne. A talented graphic designer, he was employed with several local companies until his eyesight started failing with macular degeneration.
Among his interests, Greg was quite the pool player; extreme sports fan – Packers, Brewers, Badgers and boxing; had a diverse taste in music; and was always up for a good game of bags, trivia, dominoes, cribbage or poker. Above all, Greg loved spending time with all of his family and extensive circle of friends.
Greg is survived by his sisters, Terry (Rich) Kropp, Wendy Ritacco and Patty Jorgensen; nephews & nieces, Adam (Amelia) Kropp, Eric (Molly) Kropp; Tony, Raymond & Vinny Ritacco; and Casey (Natalie) Madden; loving girlfriend, Cheri Paulick; other relatives & many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray & Pat Jorgensen; and brother-in-life, Dave Ritacco; all three of whom Greg missed dearly.

Greg I will always remember you coming over on Friday and Saturday nights for cards with Kevin, Dom, Andy, Lenny, Joe, Brian and Dan. When you puked and broke my chair from leaning back too far. Having cookouts and cliff diving running from the cops. Seeing you after years with Dom laughing at our memories. I will miss you dearly.

Since we lived so far apart it was hard to get to know you better as your Aunt Deborah & Uncle Bill. The amount we did get to know you, made us wish to have known you better. Especially as we remember how kind you were. Our deepest sympathy goes to Greg’s sisters Terry, Wendy, Patty and girlfriend Cheri Paulick. We salute your service with the United States Army 82nd Airborne. Uncle Bill & Aunt Deborah Jorgensen.
