Memorial Suggestions
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family have been suggested.

Racine – Gwendolyn (Gwen) Marie Kojis, 63 passed away on January 11, 2022, at Ascension All Saints Hospital.
She was born in Racine, WI on June 15, 1958, to George John Kojis and Ida Mae (nee: Eccles) Trones.
Gwen was an avid Vikings fan win or lose and enjoyed trash talking back and forth with her family and friends. She always gave a helping hand when needed. Her famous line was always “How you doin!?” because even if she was having a bad day, she wanted to be sure everyone around her was doing “ok.” She enjoyed helping in the care of a close family friend, Reann, and her four-legged fur buddy, Jake the dog. She loved spending weekends with her baby sister, Debra Ann, and don’t forget about Jon. She also enjoyed trips to Johnson Creek to hang out with her bestie, Boola and Boo Boo Bear. Chuckwagon loves you, Boola!
Gathering with her family and friends at local establishments was her favorite pastime. She loved to be surrounded by those she cared about most. Shout out to her home away from home – Dickies Bar.
Gwen’s smile, kind heart, and funny sense of humor will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her siblings, George (Andrea) Kojis, Diane (Greg) West, Judy (Rod) Rudat, Sheila Hilton, David (Rosie) Kojis, Debra Ann (Jon Lemke), and Stan Kojis; her children, Jason Kojis, Aron Laycock, Clint Laycock, Cliffy Laycock; her grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, too many to mention.
She is preceded in death by both of her parents, her sister, Marie Karwowski, and her great niece, Reese Vivian Heim.
Her family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Ascension All Saints ICU and the staff at Draeger-Langendorf. We sincerely appreciate the care you provided for our Gwen.

Your passing was a shock to me. You and I never agreed all the time and I know we lost a lot of time by being together and enjoying life. I will miss you and remember you as the shield that was there to protect those you loved and cared about. Until, we meet again I will think about you always.

Deepest sympathies to the Laycock boys. No matter the distance, nor the length of time apart,a friend is always cherished and love always prevails. Gwen was a wonderful friend and she was and is loved my many, and my best memories of Gwen while growing up with the Laycock boys always include a HUGE and super bright Smile and a beautifully loud laugh when thinking about Gwen and the good times we all had when we were together as young men. She was a motherly figure to all of us boys and a friend when we needed a friend. Gwen had a way of saying she loved us boys that was second to none! A bright smile and a smack on the back of the head was her way of telling me she cared. She will be deeply missed !!
