Kenosha – Hans George Larsen, age 24 years young, passed away unexpectedly as the result of a motorcycle accident on Thursday evening, May 26, 2022.
Hans was born in Kenosha on March 18, 1998 to George and Alba Larsen. A 2016 graduate of Shoreland Lutheran High School, he went on to attend UW-Parkside. Hans was a charismatic sales associate at Palmen Motors, a position he was passionate about, where he made many friendships with his work family and customers.
A man of Christ, Hans was a lifetime member of New Life Lutheran Church, formerly known as Bethany. He was an all-round athlete – having won conference track at Shoreland and was an active member of Olympus Gym. He enjoyed motorcycles, boating and old-time muscle cars. Above all, Hans was all about his family. He was extremely close to his brothers and sister. He loved them dearly. Hans had an infectious smile and a kind personality that made this world a better place.
Surviving are his broken hearted family – dad & mom: George and Alba Larsen; brothers, Travis (Desiree) Larsen & Jens Larsen; sister, Talia Larsen; adored nephews & niece, Giovanni, Daniel & Nadia; beautiful fiancé, Anahi Cruz; grandmothers, Joan Larsen & Angelita Santiago; many, many special aunts, uncles, cousins, work family, church family & friends – too numerous to mention all by name. Hans was greeted in Heaven by his grandfathers, Warren Larsen & Margaro Santiago.

Larsen Family & Friends – I’m truly thankful for getting to know Hans in his early years and watching him grow into a fully formed Christian adult. I always felt like Hans knew how to appreciate life because I don’t often recall seeing him frustrated or anger; typically he was smiling and confident. Coaching him in basketball during his grade school years was a joy. Hans was the leader of the team and showed it with how much effort he put into getting better. He knew he had to be a scorer, but also wanted to be a good point guard and distribute the ball around. I recall coaching him on something or another (maybe taking too many steps when driving to the hoop) and he just kind of smiled and said “sorry coach” and ran back out to the court to keep playing and having fun; that always stuck with me because it’s hard for me to describe how I always felt like he had the right perspective on life. And of course, Hans did have the right perspective on life, because he knew his Lord and Savior. I’m going to miss the post-church chats with Hans and hearing how well he was doing at work (let’s be honest, he was trying to sell me a car too 🙂 ABC); I look forward to catching up with him in Heaven and shooting some hoops up there too and I’ll be praying that the Lord bring peace to the Larsen’s in this sad time.

I met Hans last year when he sold me my car at Palmen, ever since then Hans has be an amazing friend to me and I feel so lucky to have known him and and his charismatic and dedicated personality. He always amazed me with incredible drive
and hardworking efforts that at our age was so rare. I am so filled with sadness for his family and for all of us who are feeling this deep lost. Hans really knew how to live and it’s so upsetting that one minute you hear his voice and laugh and you never think it could be the last time. 🙁 Hans was truly the best and I will continue to think about all the wonderful memories with Hans and remember the light he was.

Larsen Family,
You have always been a special family to me! I loved teaching your children and appreciated everything you did. I was so sorry to hear about Hans. I am so thankful he knew Jesus as his Savior. George and Alba, Thank you for being Christian parents who always kept it a priority that your children learned about Jesus! Hans now stands before Jesus free from this sinful world. It will not be long until you all stand at our Savior’s feet. May God comfort you and grant you peace! John 3:16. I celebrate heaven with you!

Oh Hans…the gentle giant…how you put my frazzled mind at ease on a scary day, “Don’t worry about your Jeep. You’ll go home in a safe car, today.” My grandson Jalen, your admiring cousin said, “He means it…you’ll find a great Jeep next year.” Your confident grin & cheery humor made my day! And I’ll remember the bear hugs forever!”
