Service Details
A Memorial Service will be held for Helen at Mount Pleasant Lutheran Church, 1700 S. Green Bay Road, Mount Pleasant on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at 11:30AM with Pastor Beth Ann Stone officiating. Visitation will be at church on Saturday from 10:00AM until the time of service. Private inurnment will take at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
Memorial Suggestions
In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested memorials be given in Helen’s name to Health Care Network, Inc of Racine.

Helen I. Ferguson, age 93, passed away on March 9, 2025. She was born in Janesville, Wisconsin on December 2, 1931, the daughter of Franklin and Kathryn (nee: Osterhus) Fuller.
Helen graduated from Janesville High School in 1950. She then went on to Methodist Hospital School of Nursing, graduating as president of her class in 1953. She married her high school sweetheart, James Ferguson, on April 10, 1953. She worked as an emergency nurse in Madison and Janesville, Wisconsin. She moved to Racine in 1957 where she and Jim started their family. After raising her family, Helen worked at Lincoln Lutheran Home for 30 years, retiring in 2001. She returned to work after a year, working for the Education Department Wellness Clinic and Harmony Club. After retiring again, she volunteered at the Healthcare Network and at her church.
Helen enjoyed reading, making dolls, wood carving, knitting, gardening, and making monster cookies. She loved taking trips with family, whether near or far, which were among her favorite past times. Helen loved with kindness, enthusiasm, and believed in the dignity of every soul. People trusted her authenticity which drew many to want to be close to her. Though she lived a long and full life, she will be greatly missed.
Surviving are her children, Dan (LeAnn) Ferguson, Patty Roselle, Laurie (Helen Stoffel) Ferguson; grandchild, CJ (Amanda) Roselle; close family members, Bryon (Linda) Petschow, Mary Johnson, Randy Wesner, Lisa and Helena Harris, Katie Stoffel; and special friends, Nancy Rooney, Stew Nagao and many more close friends. Also, brother James Schultz and nephew Garrett Schultz.
