Racine – Henry L. Ivy, age 63, passed away peacefully, surrounded with the love of his family, at his home on Thursday, January 4, 2018.
Henry was born in Racine, WI on December 28, 1954 to the late Spencer and Rosetta (nee:Gill) Ivy. He attended Washington Park High School. On August 12, 1989 in Beloit, WI, he was united in marriage with Sandra Louise (nee: Collins). With a profound work ethic, Henry was employed by Racine Unified School District as a custodian / stationary engineer for over 35 years.
Henry was a faithful member of Searching Together Missionary Baptist Church until his health declined. He enjoyed fishing, football, basketball and was a diehard Chicago Bears fan. Above all, Henry loved and cherished spending time with his entire family.
Surviving are his beloved wife, Sandra Ivy; children, Adisa (April) Gray, Henry (Missy) Ivy, Dion (Jackie) Robinson, LeTreye Robinson, Sabrina Ivy and LaToya (Angie) Robinson; special sons, Rayshay (LaShonda) Everton and Damian Gordon; 27 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; brother, Donnie (Linda) Ivy; sister, Rosemary (Roy) Edwards; brothers-in-law, Eddie (Nanette) Collins, Paul (Lillian) Morrow and Minister Dimmy (Laura) Collins; sister-in-law, Joan Wilson; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Henry was preceded in death by his grandson, Travon Gray; sisters, Yvonne Harris and Shirley Lezine; brother-in-law, Curtis Wilson; and sisters-in-law, Ina Rae Brooks and Alice Collins.
A Homegoing Celebration will be held at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Friday, January 12, 2018 at 12:00 noon with Henry’s brother-in-law, Minister Dimmy Collins, officiating. Interment will follow in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 am – 12:00 noon.

Henry was the gentle soul that took care of and cleaned my room and many others each day at Goodland Elementary, quite a few years ago. Such a kind man as well as a fellow Chicago Bears fan! RIP Henry.
