
Menomonee Falls – Mrs. Isabelle M. Barry, 98, passed away at Linden Grove Care Center in Menomonee Falls on Thursday, December 13, 2012.
She was born in Racine on August 8, 1914, the daughter of the late William and Mayme (nee: Jensen) Traeger. On October 2, 1971 she married Elmer D. Barry at Emmaus Lutheran Church. He preceded her in death on October 17, 1988.
Affectionately known in her younger years as “Traeg”, Isabelle was a devoted nurse at St. Mary’s Medical Center and retired from the surgical department on October 30, 1976. She had also been employed for 16 years by the late Dr. Leo M. Lifschutz, M.D.
She was a member of Emmaus Lutheran Church for most of her life where she also served on the altar guild. In her later years she was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church – Menomonee Falls.
She is survived by her sister, Ruth Estep of Racine and many dear nieces and nephews. Isabelle was preceded in death by her sisters, Helen (Robert) Anderson, Dorothy (Bernard) Reilly, Nancy (William) Jensen; brothers, William (Kaye) Traeger; Harold (Beatrice) Traeger; brothers-in-law, Lawrence Estep, La Roy Barry and sister-in-law, Margaret Barry.
Family and friends are invited to meet at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Saturday, December 22, 2012 from 9-10 a.m. for a visitation. The celebration of Isabelle’s life and funeral will follow in the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Mary Janz officiating. Her interment will take place at Graceland Cemetery following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been suggested to:

I was sorry to hear of Aunt Izzy’s death. She was my late husband, Gerry’s aunt and she always made me feel welcomed at family occasions. She has been reunited with those who have gone before her and is at peace. God Bless you all!
