
~~James Hunter III, was born on January 7, 1955, in Vicksburg Mississippi, to the union of James and Louise (nee: Strong) Hunter II. He received his formal education at Washington Park High School in Racine, Wisconsin. He believed in Jesus Christ.
James began working as a young man for J.I. Case and also Bell City. In recent years he worked various jobs, but he enjoyed being self-employed as a landscaper the most. His professional hobbies included; training dogs, in which he was considered to be one of the best at this profession. He enjoyed smiling, laughing and just being with people that he loved. More than anything, James enjoyed spending time with family and friends; it always brought out the best in him.
James was preceded in death by his father; James Hunter II, grandfathers; Andrew Strong and James Hunter I, grandmothers; Carrie Strong and Eileen Hunter Ford, brother; Tony Mark Hunter, his favorite uncle; Andrew Strong II, and two of his favorite cousins; Rickey Carson and Clyde Strong.. He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother; Louise Hunter Milligan, daughter; Tameeka (Terronce) Riley, son; Antonio Hunter, grandchildren; Shamika, Kendaryl, Devonte, Aliyah, Vervie and Fabieon, great grand-children; Kylie and Treymane, siblings; Elizabeth (Bennie) Brown, Barbara Griffin, Selestine Jackson, Bonnie Hunter, Zollena Mallett, Michael Hunter, Calvin (Loretta) Hunter, Larry (Jameta) Hunter, Patrick (Robin) Hunter, Jackie Hunter, Connie Rodgers, Sonja Kennedy, Timothy (Kimberly) Hunter, Elsie Hunter, Greg (Roche) Hunter, Paul Hunter, Lashonda Hunter, aunts Margaret Hunt, Virginia Lackey and Mary strong as well as a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. James will be dearly missed.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 20th, at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 1123 Center St. Visitation will be in the church on Thursday from 10am until the time of the service. Interment will take place in Graceland Cemetery.
