~~ James J. Gerou, 58, passed away from complications of COPD, at the United Hospital System-Kenosha on Monday, May 5, 2014. Jim was born in Kenosha, on September 28, 1955 the son of the late Joseph and Marion (nee: Davis) Gerou.
Jim graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School. On February 14, 1998, he was united in marriage to the former Kathleen Rosmann. She preceded him in death on January 19, 2010. Jim had been employed by Kenosha Beef.
Surviving are his son, Michael Gerou, of Milwaukee; stepchildren, Kristina Rosmann, of Kenosha, and Kevin Rosmann, of Milwaukee; step grandchildren, Kamryn and Kaiden; brothers and sisters, Herb (Nadine) Gerou, of Lake Mary, FL, Francis (Mary) Gerou, Mary Gabor, Marsha (Ace) Lucas, and Larry Gerou, all of Kenosha, and brother-in-law, Byron (Nancy) Bartram, of Oregon, WI. His nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive him. In addition to his parents and beloved wife, Jim was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Gerou, and sister, Shirley Bartram.
His funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Monday, May 12th, at 12 o’clock noon, with Karen Metallo officiating. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Monday, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Entombment will follow in Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
