Order Flowers from Family Selected Florists
Flowers by JosephJames R. Glassen, 55, received the promise of eternal life on Wednesday, October 2, 2019, surrounded by the love of his family after a battle with cancer. He was born in Racine on September 24, 1964, son of Paul and Mary Ann (Née: Blommel) Glassen.

His favorite place to watch a game was next door at “The Freddie Bar”. Jim had many artistic talents and passions. Custom woodworking, landscape design, drawing and reading were just a few. Love Risa says
Jim was not only the best brother a girl could ask for, but he was truly an example of a genuinely kind, caring and selfless person in life. He had a natural charm that lit up every room he went, and he always always made people smile and laugh with his witty jokes. I love him so incredible much and will miss him more than words can say. But, moreover my heart is broken for my sister who lost her soulmate, and my nieces and nephew who lost a father who made sure he was involved in every aspect of their lives. I’m praying God wraps his arms around you and comforts you when the pain becomes too much. My beloved, Jimmy, I hope your wings fit perfectly and you are now resting peacefully in Heaven. 💗🙏🕊

Mary Ann — I am so sorry to hear about your son’s death. Just wanted you to know that you and the rest of the Blommels are in my memory from very long ago…………and I specifically remember telling my mother that I could babysit myself and give me the 50 cents that she was going to be giving to you, my babysitter!!! (I must’ve been maybe 9 years old or so!)
I see you’ve also lost your husband……….I am very sorry. Just wanted you to know that YOU made a wonderful imprint on my memory from long ago and I feel bad that you are hurting now!
James Hamacher says
Caya, I never met you or Jim, but I knew about you from your mother in law, Mary Ann, my cousin. We moved away. We always kept a warm spot in our heart for them. I know that you have a great network in the Glassen
family to lean on. They want to help, please let them. I went through this, March 12,2018, when I lost my beloved wife, Sue. It still hurts. If it wasn’t
for friends from Church, 21 people in all, are all concerned about me.
So lean on all of your relatives, friends, neighbors. But talk to Jim and
God. I do 4 x a day. It works .
May God bless and help you through your pain and anger, now and always
Colleen Hittman (McManus) says
