James R. Kraai, age 70, of Kenosha, passed away at his home on Tuesday, August 10, 2021.
Jim was born in Kenosha on April 28, 1951, a son of the late Robert T. and Lucille G. (nee: Milloy) Kraai.
He attended Kenosha schools and was a 1969 graduate of Tremper High School.
On August 26, 1978, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, he was united in marriage to Melody E. Curio.
Jim was employed for several years with Service America. By far his greatest joy was the forty years he spent as a mentor and coach for many Kenosha youth while volunteering with the CYC football program.
He is survived by his wife, Melody; his two sons, Aaron (Lindsay) Kraai and Adam (Quanita) Kraai; his five grandchildren, Vincent, Luca, Miabella, Isaiah, and Roselyn; his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Mona and Tom McDermott; his nieces, Angie McDermott Schreier and Emily Jung; nephews, Michael (Lindsey) McDermott, Steve McDermott and Andrew (Jill) Jung; great-nieces, Lilly McDermott and Brooke Schreier, and great-nephews, Bowen Schreier and Eli McDermott, all of whom he loved very much.
Along with his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Jack Jung.
