MOUNT PLEASANT – Mrs. Jane K. Jahn, 88, passed away at Aurora Medical Center in Kenosha on Tuesday, December 8, 2015.
She was born in Richmond, VA on October 22, 1927, the daughter of the late Odell and Jessie (nee: Profit) Weaver. On December 22, 1947 she married Robert O. Jahn in Racine. He preceded her in death on March 2, 1991.
Mrs. Jahn was a longtime, faithful member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church. She worked many different jobs throughout her life, as well as many years of volunteer work at various places including, St. Mary’s Hospital. Mrs. Jahn was a doting mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be dearly missed by all those whose lives she touched.
She is survived by her daughters, Linda Roetzer and Barb (John) Ehrhart; her grandchildren, whom she adored, Chad (Amelia Hamlet) Roetzer, Erika (Brian Bradshaw) Roetzer-Nuciforo, Robert (Rochelle) Ehrhart; her great grandsons, Carter Nuciforo and Riley and Rhett Ehrhardt all of Racine; her nieces and nephews, Patty Wisniewski of Pennsylvania, Greg (Nancy) Wisniewski of California, Judy Niesen, Rich LaPointe, Faith (Hank) Mate and Donna Betko, Mr. and Mrs. John Hansen all of Racine; as well as dear friends, the Todd and Linda Dykstra family. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Jahn was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Gillian and Frankie Wisniewski.
Family and friends are invited to meet at First Evangelical Lutheran Church (728 Villa Street) on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 for a visitation from 10-11 a.m. A service celebrating and honoring her life will take place at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. John Roekle officiating. Her interment at West Lawn Memorial Park will follow. Memorials have been suggested to First Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Jahn’s family extends a heartfelt thank you to the entire staff at Aurora Medical Center for the loving and professional attention she received while under their care.
