Janelle LaToya Ghani

Racine – Janelle LaToya Ghani, 27, passed away at her home on Wednesday, March 4, 2009 after struggling with several health conditions over the past months. Janelle was born on November 05, 1981 daughter of Kareem “Cliff” and Mary (nee: Goss) Ghani. Janelle graduated from Park High School in 2000. She really had a profound love for animals and she enjoyed competing in league pool all around Racine. Her favorite past time was spending time with her family and friends. Janelle is survived by her parents, Kareem and Mary Ghani of Racine; sisters, Jessica Ghani of Racine; Aleema Ghani of Racine; Naeema Barnett of Jacksonville, FL; Angela Ghani of Atlanta, GA; Khadija Kaba of Atlanta, GA; brothers, Larry Ghani of Racine; Ricky Ghani of St. Paul, MN; Jourdon Ghani of Atlanta, GA and Titus Ghani of Milwaukee; uncles & aunts, JC Goss, William Goss, Fannie (the late George) Sims, Martha Goss, Marvin Goss, Della Goss, all of Racine; Edmond (Mary) Goss of Mississippi; Charles Fisher and Ema Stuckey, both of Indianola, MS; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, William & Winnie Goss and LC & Martha Fisher. A Homegoing Celebration will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at 11:00 am in Wayman AME Church, 424 N. Memorial Dr., with Rev. Charlene B. Mills officiating. Interment will follow in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be in the church on Wednesday from 10-11 am.
